Nonviolent Communication (NVC), as with many great spiritual disciplines, is a Path. And, as with other Paths, one of the biggest challenges is to actually practice NVC in the midst of our daily lives. We find we need support, everyday practices to stay connected, real-world knowledge instead of book knowledge, and inspiration to re-ignite our fire to continue.
In this unique weekend intensive, we will come together as a community of committed NVC practitioners to focus on building our practice for life. Five trainers who have a committed and living practice of NVC will share knowledge born out of real-world experience and their own processes for integrating the principles and skills of NVC seamlessly into the fabric of life. Included will be a special panel discussion on certification for those interested in pursuing the trainer path, and an evening Dancing Lodge led by trainer Catherine Cadden. Participants may register for any or all of the sessions being offered.

Costs and Contributions:
There is no fee or charge to attend this event. Rather, participants are invited to partner with the organizers and trainers to make this a sustainable endeavor. There are no outside organizations, donors, or grants supporting this event.
$2,865 is the estimated total cost of materials, venue, airfare, food, and gas. An additional $4,500 would contribute sustainability to each of the five trainers, as well as Capital NVC, so they can continue to bring this work to others. These goals for financial support could be met by an average contribution of $210 for the weekend, or a prorated fraction of this for part of the weekend, if there are 35 participants. Likely, some individuals will donate less and some will donate more, and the actual number of participants is not yet known. These numbers are provided to offer clarity. It is imagined that individuals will contribute different amounts, depending on both their individual financial circumstances and their connection to a desire to support this work.
Now (see donation button below) and during the event itself, participants have the opportunity to gift money to create joyful sustainability for all involved.
We invite you to contribute to supporting this event by clicking the button below or sending a check (made payable to "Capital NVC") to Capital NVC c/o 10504 Tenbrook Drive, Silver Spring, MD 20901.
