Collaborative Communication is a slightly new focus on Nonviolent Communication coming out of Emory University. The focus retains Nonviolent Communication's compassion and nonviolence, authenticity and connection while the orientation is toward workplace and social collaboration and
energetic creativity.

Learn tools to enrich daily communication. Support productive outcomes. Practice skills using every day situations. Reinforce learning through individual and group exercises.
Louisa Davis offers this in a one-day format on May 22 in Fairfax County near George Mason University.

Louisa is a parent of two grown children, partner in marriage, professor of comparative religious ethics, and a former United Church of Christ campus and parish minister. She founded the Greater Washington Allies in Reconciliation (www.gwair.org), a regional interfaith antiracism alliance, four years ago and is pursuing certification in NVC, completing the North America NVC Leadership Program and the Facilitating Change year-long trainings. She is also writing and developing coaching and training programs in support of The Sustainable Activist, bringing NVC to social and racial justice and peace efforts.
