Connecting Compassionately with Ourselves and Others

This four-class series invites the participants to begin to shift from habitual patterns of behavior toward authentic self-connection and compassionate relationships with others. The course is inspired by Nonviolent Communication (NVC) consciousness and practice, the work of Dr. Marshall Rosenberg, PhD.

The class will meet in the Junior Youth Room of Bull Run Unitarian Universalists (BRUU), located at Church & Main Streets in Manassas, VA. We will gather on Thursday evenings from April 23 to May 14 from 7 to 9 PM.

Communicating with Honesty and Compassion

An Introduction to Compassionate Communication in Arlington, VA

Most of us face choices between hiding much of our true selves to keep the peace, or speaking out in ways that produce conflict. Typically, neither strategy brings us the life we are yearning for. Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is a remarkable approach to communication, and to life, which can free us to experience authenticity and peace, as well as richly satisfying interpersonal connections.
